2005 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron Pauillac (Twelve Bottle Case)
Château Pichon-Longueville Baron 2nd Cru Classé in 1855 comes from the very oldest vines grown on the historic plots of the estate.
It is a wine that improves year after year and can age for over 40 years in the cellar.
Aged 80% in new barrels, 20% from barrels of one vintage for 15 months
Tasting Note: This wine exudes coveted reserve and distinction; a deep, nearly ebony hue signals bursting fruit flavours that have been enhanced by graceful aging. Its impressive body expresses refinement upon aeration, a necessary measure that gives the vintage time to unfurl its character.
Origin: Pauillac, France
Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc
Case shot and additional information available on request from wine@caviste.co.uk.
