2013 Château Lanessan Haut-Médoc
The venerable Lanessan property has been under the ownership of 8 generations of the Bouteillier family, making it one of the oldest Bordeaux estates. It stretches across 350 hectares, with 85 hectares being utilized for growing grapes.
This vintage is a classical blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & Petit Verdot sourced from 32 hectares of 30-year-old vines, grown from deep Garonne gravel beds.
Tasting Note: Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot bring elegance and strength, Merlot floral aromas and freshness. The nose is marked by black fruit, soft spices and sandalwood overtones. In the palate, a lot of spicy freshness, beautiful silky tannic framework and long toasted final. Fabulously soft with gamey and bacon fat notes.
Origin: Bordeaux, France
Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot
