2018 Hans Herzog Pinot Noir
500 years of Pinot Noir winegrowing heritage and 50 years of experience coalesce in this remarkable Pinot Noir from Hans Herzog.
This embodies the ultimate expression of Burgundy's flagship varietal.
Handpicked at an extremely tiny yield of 400g per vine. That’s less then one of the lowest for grand cru burgundy, where a maximum yield of 35 hl/h (or 500g per plant, source JR) is specified for Le Musigny. Unparalleled, pure, physiological ripe grapes from our 22 years old vines.
Tasting Note: This dark, richly textured Pinot shows off with intense, luscious aromas of dark fruit, violet and warm spices. Magnificent blend of allure and complexity, deep and earthbound. Sumptuous and silky structure with a savoury acidity. In the style of Burgundy’s greatest varietal: refined elegance, defined with an ample finish, highlighting its aging potential. A great addition to a Burgundy lover’s cellar.
