2018 Chateau Dallau Bordeaux Superieur
Château Dallau, nestled in the commune of Saint Denis de Pile, is owned by Yvette Bertin and boasts 32 hectares of vineyards. All of the vines are around 20 years old
The grapes are harvested at peak ripeness in September/October. A low-temperature maceration is used to extract the fruit's flavour, while precision temperature control aids in perfectly crafting the wine's fruit-forward profile.
Tasting Note: Merlot's dominance is visible, releasing a bouquet of ripe plums and red cherries with an undertone of freshly sharpened graphite and a tinge of the Cabernet Franc's "forest floor" trait. The taste is full-bodied with a substance imparted by the oak, supported by impressive tannins, culminating in a warming spice.
