2018 Maison Sichel Selection Margaux
Much of our Bordeaux purchases come through the historic négociant and owner of Ch d’Angludet: Maison Sichel.
One of their great tricks and skills is their private bottlings of ‘declassified’ wine from one of the great Bordeaux Chateaux in their enviable portfolio. They are always sworn to secrecy as to its origins, despite our very best efforts.
Tasting Note: Deep garnet red colour, this 2018 Sichel Margaux has delicate blackcurrant and blackberry fruit and touches of oak on the nose. On the palate the wine shows lots of elegance and finesse. Tannins of excellent quality make this Margaux fruity, supple and powerful at the same time, with a lingering finish of spice and toasted notes. A wine with all the typical taste and elegance of this exceptional terroir.
