2019 Moorooduc Pinot Gris on the Skins
Essentially a wild ferment orange wine on the skins giving a wine with a vibrant pink that is not a rosé in the conventional sense.
This is a white wine made like a red wine with 100% skin contact throughout the fermentation and initial maturation.
"Tannins cleave lightly, but distinctly on the palate, lending spice flavours and a hint of earth to the creamy strawberry and crunchier redcurrant fruit. Tasting Note: Watermelon pink in colour with pink rose petals, violets, fennel and hints of pickled ginger, rhubarb and red plums. Tangy red berries and Moroccan spice on the palate. Fresh and crunchy with just the right amount of tannin to clean the palate. Enjoy as you would a red wine but just very slightly chilled.
