2021 Rimauresq 'R' Côtes de Provence Rosé
Winemaking of the "R" Rosé is completed with precision and care, utilising the most distinctive fruit from the vineyards at their disposal.
This dedicated approach, combined with a modern gravity fed winery, allows Pierre Duffort and his team to focus on producing the very best Provence has to offer. In addition to Grenache Noir, Cinsault and Mourvedre, Rolle (4%) and Ugni Blanc (2%) provide perfumed complexity to the blend. The wine is stored in its lees with regular batonnage over the winter after the harvest.
The result is a gorgeously aromatic wine with good acidity that can be cellared for up to three years.
Tasting Note: Delicate coral pink in colour yet with real concentration and weight due to the 70 year old vines used to produce the 'R' wines. This is one of the best and most classic of Provence rosés, vinous and weighty yet still very fine with opulent Grenache fruit and a touch of spice.
