2021 Château Graville Lacoste Graves Blanc
The esteemed Hervé Durbourdieu owns Château Graville Lacoste, whose vineyards were planted in 1951 on clay and limestone soils with sizable stones dispersed throughout.
Situated in Pujols-sur-Ciron (in Graves) Château Graville-Lacoste boasts a terroir resembling nearby Château Roûmieu-Lacoste, situated in the Haut-Barsac/Sauternes region. The result is a subtle and elegant traditional dry white wine.
The blend is roughly two thirds Semillon, one third Sauvignon Blanc and a little Muscadelle. Fermentation and ageing is all in stainless steel to retain freshness. This is classic, mineral Graves with real depth and vitality.
Tasting Note: This fine blend demonstrates an equilibrium between its limestone-derived mineral character and its fresh, citrus fruity notes. Its dependable, light profile makes in a wonderfully fresh and easy white.
Origin: Bordeaux, France
Blend: Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle
