The Berg Riesling 2022 is a taut, laser-focused expression of Alsace terroir. The lively lemon zest, racy acidity, and slate-driven minerality combine in a food-friendly, ageworthy package.

At the northern tip of Alsace, Domaine Mélanie Pfister farms in Dahlenheim’s cooler climate on clay-limestone hillsides. Mélanie’s 40-year-old Riesling vines in the Silberberg and Auf dem Berg parcels mature on Muschelkalk bedrock, producing fruit of razor-sharp precision.

Hand-picked in Sept 2022, the grapes were fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, then matured on fine lees until bottling in July 2023.

Berg stands apart for its organic viticulture and single-vineyard authenticity, delivering purity and energy that vividly reflect its storied hillside origins.

Tasting Note: A vision of pale gold with fragrant lemon blossom aromas. The palate is crisp and saline, with lemon, green apple, and steely minerality, finishing in a long and racy chill down the spine.
