The 2023 Mendel Cabernet Franc exemplifies freshness, finesse, and aromatic intensity. From limited production in the Altamira vineyards, this wine reveals the unique character of high-altitude Mendoza terroir with balance and structure.

Made from 100% hand-selected Cabernet Franc, this wine combines ripe red fruit with subtle spice and firm tannins. Its low-yield vineyards ensure concentrated flavours, while the careful fermentation and ageing in French oak enhance texture and complexity.

Winemaking:

Grapes undergo manual selection before fermentation and 25-day maceration in small 80-hectolitre tanks with gentle pigeage. Malolactic fermentation occurs in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels, followed by mild clarification and bottling to preserve the wine’s integrity.

Pairing Suggestions:

Ideal with roasted chicken, grilled vegetables, or a lentil and mushroom stew, complementing its fruity and spicy profile.
