Rusden’s 2023 Ripper Creek is a nostalgic Barossa blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, crafted in the spirit of 1960s cellar?door classics. It’s the go?to for fans of fruit?driven Aussie reds.

Vine Vale vines produce ripe Shiraz and Cabernet that are co?fermented in traditional open fermenters. The pressed wine is basket?pressed into seasoned oak.

This throwback blend delivers the immediate pleasure of vintage Barossa Shiraz?Cabernet. Grab a bottle for relaxed dinners or to revisit proper Australian wine.

Winemaking: Open fermentation with manual plunging, basket pressing and 18 months in seasoned large oak casks to integrate tannin and fruit.

Pairing Suggestions: Beef ragu pasta, mushroom bourguignon, slow?roasted lamb shoulder.

Tasting Note: Mulberry, ripe blackberries, cedar and eucalyptus on the nose. The palate bursts with dark berry flavours and chewy tannins, finishing long and savoury.

Rusden Wines began as a weekend passion project in 1979 when Christine and Dennis Canute coaxed new life into a run?down Vine Vale vineyard.
