2025 Sierra de Enmedio Monastrell
Bodegas Alceño a family tradition winery since 1870 located in the middle of Jumilla, the oldest, being the first winery to market wines in Jumilla.
Born from old vines, this is a red that earns its place on the table. Concentrated ripe black fruit — think blackberry and dark plum — is lifted by a streak of fresh, vibrant acidity that keeps every sip alive. The naturally firm tannins provide real structure and grip, without ever tipping into austerity.
Crucially, there's no oak here. What you get is pure, unmasked fruit: honest, expressive, and deeply satisfying.
Tasting Note: Ripe black fruit aromas with subtle spice; medium-bodied and juicy on the palate, balanced by natural acidity and soft tannins, finishing with lingering freshness.
Pairing Suggestions: Pairs beautifully with roasted vegetable casseroles or mushroom paella for vegetarians; for meat lovers, try lamb chops, grilled sausages, or rich tomato-based pasta dishes. Works equally well with a selection of Manchego or cured Spanish cheeses.
Origin: Murcia, Jumilla, Spain
