Made from a blend of traditional port grape varieties – primarily Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Sousão, and Tinta Roriz – this Tawny takes its name from the large family barrel, Tonel 12, where the Bergqvist family used to store their own private blend. Each year, a selection of the estate’s finest wines is set aside to age in old 550-litre oak pipes for an average of 10 years, allowing them to develop their characteristic depth and complexity.

Crafted in the estate’s signature drier style, this 10-Year-Old Tawny Port avoids the overpowering sweetness often associated with tawnies. The winemakers take extra care to ensure that the brandy is seamlessly integrated during fermentation, resulting in a more refined, longer-lasting flavour profile.

Tasting Note: On the palate, you’ll be greeted with enticing notes of dried fruits, like apricot and figs, complemented by rich layers of honey, toasted almonds, and a touch of orange peel for a zesty finish.
