We start with Siegel Reserva Carmenere, Chile’s signature grape that’s famed for it’s dark fruits and toastiness. Staying in South America, it’s a velvety smooth, Argentinean Malbec from our friends at Bodega Sottano.
The South African duo is up next, with a pair - Lanzerac Merlot and Holden Manz Vernissage - that will wrap you in a sunny, spicy, cloak of flavour to see you through to the early hours.
A couple of classics - from Italy and France - complete the case. Both wines are bold and proud, showing the Old World can stand up to the New. Cascina Vengore Mompirone Barbera and Seigneurs d`Aiguilhe are wines that deliver toast and spice, forest fruits, and a subtle vanilla aftertaste. Delightful.
